I was expecting to read that they plugged it in and it runs. upside

It probably would but the cord was cut by the shovel so the buyer will have to check that out!  biggrin Cool laugh This has to take the cake as the most interesting CL ad I have ever seen.

ok, I'll attach the ad for posterity sake since it is aparently funnier then I first realized. The best picture is at the top, so I will post the after picture too.

So this past Saturday started as most others. Mow the lawn, whittle away at the honey-do list, which included planting some shrubs...So I start digging a hole and come across a small red box. I dig around it a bit more and the darn thing still won't budge. Then I notice writing on it. It says Coca Cola. A little more digging. The little red box is attached to something much bigger. Search the internet. OK its Much Much bigger. By the end of the day Sunday we had it out of the ground and the 6 cubic foot hole refilled and no the shrubs haven't been planted yet (but the hole is ready).

Despite being buried in my yard for who knows how long, It seems to be in decent shape. The lettering on the chest looks great and the tub is solid with just a little dis-colorization. The coin box and lid got beat up the worst. The compressor is in place but shows plenty of corrosion. My best guess is that it is a V-139.

Looking for best offer. Will consider trades.

Just an idea for anyone close to this machine.
Pick it up from the guy, take it home and re-bury it, compacting the soil well as you do and wait a few weeks until it is dry and hard again.
Meanwhile send the sellers photo to some of these reality TV shows. They can come out and film some guys digging this thing out then they will send it off to Vegas where impossible things always happen to machines just like this.  happydrinkers
Not sure how much the network would pay but it sure could make good viewing.

This guy digs one hole and finds a Coke machine?
I'd be sinking a probe into the rest of the whole yard.
Maybe find the rest of all those Orange Crush 81's.

Rick, is going to be mad he had buried it for a future restoration and was going to make it into a Westinghouse chest...

Wonder if the guy's house is built over what was once a dump or landfill?

I was going to mow my lawn today but now I'm afraid to thinking something might come out of the ground and eat me alive.

I'd be buying a metal detector and a backhoe.
