More continuous vending

I have a LaCrosse model XV232 that goes into a continuous vending cycle.

I have 12 cans in slot 1  - 6 upper and 6 lower, when I put cash in and press the glass for that selection, it actuates the solenoid but not long enough for a can to drop through - then repeats this untill I unplug it.

Any ideas?

It doesn't vend continuously but tries a good few times - one relay (2nd from left if you could look right thru the door) ticks continuously about 4 times a second - that NEVER stops.

The Sold out light flashes (once per sec), and the use exact change light is lit.

If I keep tapping the glass (that's how you select on this machine), it will sometimes vend, however, this is rare.

I think if the solenoid was held twice as long there'd be enough time for a can to drop.

Well since the only thing regulating the vend cycle is the controller/logic board, then I'd say your looking at a replacement, unless a sold out lamp is showing "on " for that column, then, (assuming that the sold-out switch doubles as a "vending cycle complete") it could be a sticking switch, from what I see in the schematic, and not knowing anything else, it's looks like it's a timed vend cycle, that is , once a coin is validated & the vending price is reached, the coinmech sends the "Vend" pulse over to the logic board, which then starts the vend cycle, for "X" amount of time, if it's short-cycling & not allowing the the product to drop, ( & then it keeps repeating the cycle at that point) then that's your problem, this could be caused by low voltage to the logic board, a defective voltage regulator on the control board, too much A.C. ripple on the D.C. portion of the board, ( bad filter capacitors on the power supply and/or a defective rectifier/bridge rectifier assy.)  your coinmech looks like a 24volt unit, & I don't know it's pinout, so I can't tell you what two pins to short together to start a vend cycle, ( with the coinmech unpluged from the machine) .... '>

so you'll have to start to isolate the sections by function, coinmech, controlboard, powersupply, I'd start with the power supply as it's common to both electronic assemblies.

I thought it might be due to not enough cans, but I loaded a couple of the selections fully up.  I got similar problems.

This time I plugged it in, waited a little while and dropped in a quarter (currently set as the vend price) - hitting the button clunked a few times and vended a can - hooray!,  however, it kept clunking for a while so I unplugged it.

After looking inside - it had vended about 20 cans but they had got stuck on the delivery ramp - now I'm even more confused!

I'd even considered bypassing the coinmech, and electronics all together, and actuating the solenoids using relays and buttons on the front, but I'd really like to get it working properly.

Is there anywhere I can get replacement electronics for this machine, it is marked on the wiring diagram as a La Crosse XV-232, but on the silver sticker on the inside of the door, the model number is marked as LXV ILL 240-6  ...any ideas?
