I'm sure there are many people out there that owe their life to you.

On a side note... what was the funniest call you ever had as a fire rescue (I have a firefighter friend and he's told me some funny non fire or life danger stories)

Well, the final shift has ended.  Now go out an enjoy this new period in your life.  It is like when the kids leave home, it will seem strange for awhile and then you will think how did I get all of this stuff done before.

ENJOY after 26 years someone else can put out the fires...
