http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/atq/2982084234.html

I'm going to look at this in the morning and wanted a quick opinion on what it is really worth. He said it is complete and vends properly on free vend. Coin is there but he has never tried to get it to work.

I thought Stoner Jr's are the most common but I'm not seeing a whole bunch out there right now but do see the 180's more often.

I'm wanted a gut check just in case this is way overpriced.

The junior is always favored over the larger size, for the same reason small soda machines bring more money, but his price is about double what I would pay.

Around me (NorthWest)...I don't see very many of these and when I do, they are rust-buckets...I would offer $650-$700 for a Junior around me and up to $400 for the larger one...but only if in good shape.

considering this one is a pretty nice original and if you where not planning on restoring it,, the asking price is not that bad..

if you where going to strip it down, do body work and get a professional paint job on it,, you'd be spending 1500-1800 so if keeping it original not a bad price...

just a thought.

Good guess. It just it Craig's List so he didn't want to deal in price. He pulled out some old fliers from the late 1980's from Vintage Vending in New Hampshire for $2500 restored for this one.  It took him a bit, but he did come off his asking price. It did just it Craig's List, but there is usually some room to move. He wants $850 for the national cigarette machine sitting beside this one and it is missing the vending stacks because it is in very good condition, but I didn't have any interest in it anywhere near that price.

I would like to leave it alone for now except to clean it up as it does show pretty well.

WEll then, nice pick up!

THe way I tell my wife about what I paid... I take how many years I have left to live (say 40 more IF im lucky) divide it by the price, the divide it by 365 and you get how much it costs you per day!! It's usually in the 15 cent range for me on my purchases lol.

The problem is when Im 70 and still looking...................  hopefull

Very nice pick MaineT. I'd really like to have a Junior one day. The one you bought looks to be in great original condition. Many are well rusted and corroded or missing lots of pieces.

I looked thru the glass and could see thru to the match book stacks. The pulls were not just just free floating or anything so some of it must be in there.

It was clean, but he went right to the ones on ebay and the asking price.

What are these going for? any ideas?

So the longer this national is on craigslist the more I think this is quite a clean original.  He came off the other one a little, and now that is has been a couple of weeks he may be willing to talk price. Did anyone have any thoughts of value?
