First off, A special thank you to Slider-Bob, who not only talked me out of buyer's remorse, went with me to pickup, load and bring the 39 home.  And a thank you to RayG, who jumped in and offered to help get it.  I owe you both.

I take lousy pictures, but she is unbelievably straight, and I'm glad I wasn't talked out of it.

Now if I hit the lottery this weekend, I can get started on her a lot sooner

Are you going to restore it to an all red machine?

Ray, it is in much better shape than the one we looked at after the Michigan Mafia luncheon, no dents or dings, some rust on the door.
Tim - it was listed on Detroit CL. now to fix up the  OMT so I can pay for this project Smiley

It's a nice machine Jim...Congrats!  I'm sure you'll be really happy with it once it's restored to your specs.

And thanks for the coke picnic cooler you gave me (that the seller gave you) for buying the 39.  You didn't have to do that, but I appreciate it and I'll fix it up and make you proud (the repaint job on it was bad with orange peel and flaking like crazy).

Looks great Jim!  Congrats. I saw a few at the Portland Swap Meet I would of considered one but is was missing the drum, and the cooling system had been swapped with something else!

I bet it will be one fun project!

BC the instructions say insert dime, but the coin mech  is in need of serious attention, and wouldn't accept any change.

Bob and I were also amused the  bottle cap catcher was filled with old Coke bottle caps, as well as  caps circa 1960's for Stroh's, which in it's time was a Detroit brewed beer.
