This popped up on Craigslist this morning, one town over. Went to go check it out, looks like it was repainted by Pepsi (or someother second hand). Looked complete but the cord was pretty frayed, so I couldn't test it out.
Got it home and put on a new cord and gave it a quick test, compressor fired up and coils got cold. After I figured out how to actually put the bottles in it, it was vending without any problems. Was always interested in a Selectomatic machine, and looks like I got a good one! Going to give a good cleaning and lube, and see what happens from there.
And the price? $80!

Neat machine. I also kind of like the pepsi paint job on it. Would look even cooler with one of those 3d pepsi signs although I don't know of them making any of those for that machine since I think it was a coke machine.

Got it all up and running today, did some quick cleaning and put a little oil in the vend motor to get it back into shape. Everything works great, I was having a tough time because it was getting too cold (a good problem).
Scalebowler, you're right, a 3D Pepsi sign would look great on it, but I'm going to have to find something. The current sign was spray-painted white, and it very inconsistent when lit. Does anyone have a decent pepsi sign for sale, it measures roughly 22" by 9". I may just end up making my own.
As for keeping it...I'm up in the air with that right now...I think this one might be going back on the market, anyone interested?
