thermometer help

got this new treasure today and it is nice shape except for no tube

so i checked the local dollar store today hoping they would have a thermometer i could use the tube out of but no luck. i am going to check a few other dollar stores but has anyone else had any luck finding an accurate tube for this one?

Also can someone give me the measurements from an original on the piece of wood holding the tube?
