I've got a couple of WD-60's and I've determined that both compressors work but need to be serviced.  They are a little dirty and rusty however.  Should I clean them up and repaint the sysytem before I go have it serviced?

Are there any tricks to painting the condensor/evaporator coils?

service first, paint later, just in case you'd have to replace something it won't mess up the paint. etc.

Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!

Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor

"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.
