Gang,

I added this to my collection of cup machines! It's a Stewart 500! This came out before the Lyon 500, but looks the same. Got this from a guy here in Ohio. Super nice guy. It came out of an old theater that is still there, but long been closed. I will post more pics later.

Yea, this is a cool one. Seems to be rare as this one looks like a Lyon 500, but says Stewart 500. I think it might have come out before the Lyon. I would love to get this little guy working.

      That is so cool!
I'm looking at a picture of the Lyon 500 and it is identical. So if yours is also a 500, could Stewart and Lyon been one and the same company like Vendo and VMC?
The book says Lyon is 60" tall, 21 1/2 wide and 17 1/2 deep. Rarity 5.0+
If your Stewart is the same dimensions I would guess it is the same machine marketed by 2 different companies. Wow good job!

They might be. The Stewart 500 info on this site, under machines said it came out before the Lyon. However, this looks like the Lyon 500, it's a match. Only differance is, it has a Stewart 500 tag. I traded for this machine, so it was nice.

Very Nice Brian ! ! !
Congrats on sealing this deal ! ! !
No cracks in the top...?
I don't have a lot of documentation, but it does seem Stewart and Lyon were subsidiaries or similar companies like S&S/Quikold or Vendo/VMC...
According to what I have read, the Stewart literature date was prior to documentation I read about the Lyon 500...
Somewhere, there was documentation about the Lyon company and someone was related to the Lyon family... But I cannot remember details at the moment...

Thanks Everyone!! Thanks for the literate too! Interesting on the meger of Stewart and Lyon. I have been waiting fo this machine of a long, long time. I missed out on the one that sold last year in Chicago. I think one of our memembers here got it. Anyway, finally got one. I willl post more pics, when I get them taken this weekend. Interesting inside of the machine and small little compressor. It really was a great design by the company, small, art deco looking and $.5 cents!!! The top is fiberglass and has no cracks, it has been with the guy for the last 25 years! Prior to that it was at the old theater for like 20 years. So, for the last 45-50 years, just sitting around waiting for me to seal the deal!
