Captain Kid Gun Arcade

Hi.
I was wondering if any members had any expertise on a 1966 Captain Kid Gun arcade machine.I like to get a project for the winter and I thought this was a cool game,and the price was pretty good.I have worked on soda,jukeboxes,arcades,and pinballs.This is my first em game and I'm having some problems I was wondering someone could help me with.The first is a coil underneath the rifle that simulates a recoil in the gun when you pull the trigger.The coil is shot and cant seem to find anyone that has one.Second there are two 7 and 1/2 watt light bulbs in the game that are supposed to come on.I replaced them with new bulbs but they don't work.Third on the right side there is a pirate flag that goes up and down,the motor seems to run,but will not move the flag.Any help would be appreciated.

I will have to look, I bought schematics from a store on Ebay, they had hundreds for all sorts  of EM machines, I'll look for the name, a schematic goes a long way to troubleshooting

Google Pinball Resource. They sell coils and lots of pinball parts.
Do not know if they would have whatcha need.

I can't help you I'm afraid but the game looks very cool. Good luck with the restoration, wish I could be as bold.

Pinball Resource is probably your best bet since they build their own coils. As for the lights, it could be a relay somewhere that had nothing to do with the lights! Get the schematic out and trace the wires. This happened to me on one of my EM pins.

Thanks for the help.I baught the machine for $150.00 and found $13.00 in dimes in the machine when I drilled out the coin lock.

Keep the dimes that are older than 1964, they are worth over $2 a piece due to the current price of silver.

If all of the dimes are pre-1964, you got a free machine & actually made money.

I just checked it on line, and I was wrong. 

A pre 1964 dime is worth $2.39 as of today. So....

If the machine was full of all pre-1964 dimes, you made $160.70 after paying for the machine.

Great Game!!
I'm finding with my Speedway it is all in cleaning the contacts. Hope you can find a schematic that is somewhat complete that will help.

I 'll look tonight, I bought scematics from a seller on Ebay, large clean  scans
in the meantime I found this for you, would look cool  framed next to the machine
