Compressor Size/Paint Sprayer Recommendations

I am a newbie to the forum and to Vending Machine restorations and am "considering" doing my own painting on my first machine which is a Vendo Coke Square top.  I am looking for recommendations for compressor size (minimum) and a paint sprayer type.  Currently I have two compressors that I use basically for nail guns: 1) 3 hp / 4 gallon / 135 psi  2)  1 hp/ 5 gallon / 125 psi.   This machine is for me so while I want it to look nice it does not have to be perfect.   Plus if anyone has any general tips on painting please let me know.
