I have just started to restore my (awful condition) Vendo coin changer.  Does anyone heave some step be step pictrues of the process?  I took mine apart 7 years ago with taking pictures so I am a little lost.  I also may need some parts.  Does anybody sell parts for the Coin changer?

My e-mail is bcharlton@buffaloxrx.com

Thanks

I don't have a "step-by-step" process, but the first thing to do is locate and ensure no parts are missing!
I might even consider re-assembly and check for functionality prior to restoration...
I finished one back in June so things are still pretty fresh in my head; let me know what I can do to assist...

I've done six or so and have three more on my plate right now.
Let me know if there is something I can help with.
From the picture, it looks like you are missing most everything!  tounge

What sort of areas have you guys been locating these coin changers?  I cannot recall ever having seen one before coming to this site.  I think they're really neat and would love to come across one...just need to know what I'm looking for, if that makes sense.  Thanks.

Just like all good stuff, it all takes time, effort and contacts... Your just getting into this and many have been collecting for years so it's a matter of patience as things will come... I remember thinking way back when when first started getting into machines, I thought I'd NEVER find a Vendo 81 for myself... since then I've probably owned over 30..

I agree with Signguy... I couldn't find an 81 around me and then I finally did after three years ( and 500 miles)...
The day I got home from the road trip, I found one about 45 mins. Away...I had to explain to my wife it was meant to be and I had to buy that one also, even though money was tight at the time....that was about 15 81's ago and now it comes down to price.

Ken, althoug I do not have the experience of most on this forum I am also finding the longer I collect this stuff the more of a feel I get as to what leads are worth pursuing.  I will see something on craigslist and just know if that seller may have a honey hole of other stuff.

Thanks for the input guys.  I've always been into collecting things, just never really had the place or the ability to collect larger things while in the military with the regular moves and all.  I look forward to learning more from everyone on here and hope to maybe meet some of you at some point in the near future.
