I like curves! But the square tops can display well to. And they are a great first machine for a guy on a limited budget. My first three machines were CS-64s, and I loved them so much that when they did leave the house, they went to relatives. I still have visiting rights.

      The main problem I have with them is the depth is twice the width, so they look good from the front but stick out too far from the wall  darn

I think you are thinking of the Cavalier 55...the W-44 is pretty square.
