Picked up my first Cavalier machine about a month ago.  With a little trading I got it for $250.00

The glass is broke out in the side door but has all the shelves, compressor, cap catcher inside, and coin-co mech. ( still had money in it.)

Large Embossed.

Great deal! Congrats - nice little machine!
Mine has the small embossing, but I love it just the same!

Very cool machine.  You going to leave it as it is or restore?

Congrats on the first CAV!!  As much as I love the machiens to be as orig as possible, I think this ones needs to be restored, unless Coke goes from a red corporate logo to brown lol.

YES keep us posted!!!

I was able to take from either machine or pick the better of the two cabinets.  The other cabinet door air vents were bent, and the small door was in much better shape.  I rolled the dice on the large embossed door.  Maybe somebody can help me out here but I had read the most of the time they only came with the smaller embossed lettering?  The seller had an extra door, so if I can't straighten this one back out I will see about the smaller door.

I spent probably a good hour running my hands over each machine getting a good idea which would be the best one.  I also was able to go through the two machines and make sure I had all the shelves, and a few were missing that I grabbed out of the other machine.  A long with a nice coin mech.  that still had nickels in it.  I believe it's a Coin-Co.

The outside cabinet as little to no damage, dings, or dents, and all the vents are straight.  The inside is pretty clean, looks like the owners before just sprayed a bunch of silver paint, etc.  I guess I won't know until I remove the inside liner.  The original compressor is there, and lights, brackets. etc.

Been spending sometime over the last few weeks tearing this machine down.

Here are some pictures.  I was surprised how easy it was compared to the WD-10.

WOW!! A Very Nice find! I am almost finished with my 96 and would like to find a smaller 72 to start working on. Are you going to paint or powder coat the tub and shelves? I originally tried a Zinc paint but did not have the look or durability I was wanting so I ended up using the Hammertone paint.
