I saw someone on a different post reference these. I think it was Jim. Stumbled on these http://easttexas.craigslist.org/atq/2557277797.html . I thought it was pretty cool. I have seen these in the coke theme before as well. Were these ever done in themes originally or just done up this way now??

I also asked Jim if he were interested in the old fridges.  We have a couple, pictured below, that we'll have in the auction I mentioned in previous thread.  They're pretty cool!!!   glare

I've always wanted one like your first photo; the one with the circular condenser on top, but I have never wanted to purchase one without seeing it first hand...

What pics do you need and I'll take them for you and post them?  When I get it here this week, I can provide any information you need on it, pics, video even if desired.  Just let me know.

A word to the wise in regards to the old monitor-top 'fridges, ( like the first picture) they run on ammonia, or some even ran on sulfur-dioxide as a refrigerant gas,  so when you are looking to buy one , open it up & stick you nose right in the Ice tray opening & sniff around, if you smell even the faintest whiff ammonia ( or rotten eggs in the case of a sulfur-dioxide machine) tip your hat & walk away... if you smell it, it's leaking & not worth fumigating your house & half the neighborhood once it's plugged in.

Thanks for the info.  I'll be sure to do that when we go pick it up this week.  Will let you know what I discover, although I do not recall smelling anything when there last week.  Then again, wasn't really paying much attention either.
