I konw this should be posted under swap meet, but was more or less posting because of the way the ad was written.

Ad reads:

I'm selling a really nice, very clean embossed Vendorlator 81 Sevenup machine. It cools and vends like it should and displays Great! It is not the roundtop machine that sells for $7000. This is the squaretop version for a more reasonable price. If you like 7up and appreciate the older machines, this one is for you. The inside looks brand new and every thing works the way it should. Also, there is a light in the bottle door that lights up the different soda's or beer in the vending rack.

Asking $1499 or best offer over $1100.

So who is going to buy it for 1499, if he says in the same sentance I'll take best offer over 1100... HMMMM I'll take it for $1101.00

Good point SignGuy!  I see that in a lot of ads when I am searching.  I think people start to ramble and they forget what they typed in the prior sentence.

That is a nice looking transitional machine but not sure I would even go $1,100!

I was just complaining about that the other day, someone sent me detail on a machine and said $300/obo, but no lower than $200...why wouldn't I offer $200 then?
