As a lot of you guys know, my wife is a breast cancer survivor. On Saturday, August 6th, my son Joey and I rode our bicycles 60 miles in the Ride for the Cure and raised over $2,000 for the Komen Foundation. This past weekend, my son Tim and I walked 60 miles in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure and raised over $5,000 for the Komen Foundation. I am a very proud father and happy to see the fine young men that these boys are becoming! Tim

Way to go Tim and sons! One of our close friends has been training and is walking in the San Francisco SGK 3-Day in Sept. The hills will be tough for her, but not the heat.

I have a few friends walking in SF this year. Tell your friend to look for Matthew "Mr. January" of the 60 Mile Men. He is a good friend of mine from Michigan who started a calendar back in 2008 that features a lot of the guys who walk. All of the money goes to SGK. I believe he is also walking in Seattle this year. He usually does 3 events a year. I am planning on Philly this year as well but I need to get my blisters healed up before I can start training again! Tim
