Not trying to pick it apart.. trying to figure out age... planks vs. plywood, logo design, color, type of screws used to put it together, metal legs vs. wooden legs, etc. Wish the Reno logo was complete to see if it had a model number or date... When you get it... check for dates or patents on the bottom and along the inner liner.

Will do. I knew what you meant, I mentioned picking apart as the details is what I don't know in order to determine it's age, etc., as you mentioned. Just let me know what info you need and I will continue to feed as I can get it. I'm definitely interested in figuring this one out. I appreciate all your help and knowledge.

Wow.. maybe that RENO logo is on theirs and they could check to see if there's a model number or date... or maybe they know when it was made... good job finding that post.

The inside of that cooler in Springfield looks brand new. They have three other pictures of it but I just posted one of them.

Here is the link: http://springfieldil.craigslist.org/atq/2547886839.htmlThat is pretty interesting--never seen one and now there is another one for sale! Ken--you should definitely contact this guy to see if he has any manufacturer markings on the one that he is selling. It will be interesting to see if your mystery can be solved. Tim

I seem to remember these being made for the market in South America. Could the word RENO be another language?

Taking a closer look at the pictures, it appears as though the metal interior has been replaced with newer galvanized tin. The newness is just not a natural coloring to be with that cooler. At least that's my opinion anyway. An original interior seems it would have a bit different color gray on the metal. The pattern on the galvanization looks too new also as compared to what I've seen on older metals. Just my observation. If I am incorrect, please let me know, I'm still a newbie at this whole thing. Thanks in advance.
