Hi Creighton
Just remember to store them vertically, not flat. Do a google search for cleaning origonal 78's. There are some rock-n-roll 78's that are worth some pretty good coin. Good Luck

I have always filled a sink with warm water and (following the grooves) washed records with a soft sea sponge. Then spin both sides of the record dry on a bath towel that is flat on the floor. Works well on all speed records - 33, 45 & 78.

So acetone would be out of the question?  biggrin Cool laugh  Somehow, I know Kilroy (the Juke Master) would know how to clean those 78's.  I suspect that technique would also work for 45's except you would need to just need to turn them a little more slowly while washing?  laugh  I'm on a roll today!

A little punchy from walking 9 miles and riding my bike 27 miles this morning!  Everyone get out and enjoy the day!
