I just picked this up on Monday. A Cavalier CSS-64FS. It spent its entire life in NAPA store, except the last two years where it sat in storage.

I bought it for $325.00. It works. It did not come with a key, but the local Coca Cola distributor, Chestermans, had a key in Sioux City, IA. They gave me the key for free Smiley

I cleaned it up, replaced the 4 broken wiring hold downs and all the light bulbs. I then stocked it and now I am enjoying it.

I am still toying with the idea of a restoration, but there is no rust or any other problems. I just don't know it it is a good idea to restore it right now.

It joins the traffic light and Telephone booth in my shop.

Also anyway to tell when it was made by the Serial Number?  #460505

I have pictures here.

Welcome to the board!!
Nice machine. No need to do any restoration. Think that to be a mid 60's. Others will know more.

Nice original shape. I'd leave it be.
You did well

Welcome aboard!  happydrinkers That is a nice original machine and the finish is in good shape.  I would keep it as is--maybe a coat of wax on the outside to shine it up a bit.  But you should do a little interior work.  It appears that your interior drain is plugged and the liner has some rust.  You might want to remove the cooling system so you can clean up the bottom of that liner, clear out the drain hole and paint the liner to stop any further corrosion.  You can also use that opportunity to clean up the compressor deck and re-wire and replace the fans to avoid any future problems with those components.

I went down and checked the drain, I made sure it was not plugged, I also checked the operation of the drain cover at the bottom of the tube.

I then cleaned the bottom of the liner the best I could. There was some spilled pop as well as some water. But the drain is working now.

Thanks again.

I think I will redo the bottom of the liner this fall/winter.

Did they make a side rack for this model? I have two screw holes on the right side. If they did does anyone make a reproduction or sell original ones?

Those two holes are likely from a bottle rack for the empties.  They turn up on E-Bay every now and them.

Here is one:

Nice original machine and a great size , what do you have it in a pole barn?  In the first two pictures it looks like a toy against those high walls.
