Hi,

I am brand new to this site, so I hope that this is the appropriate place to post my questions.

I am having a hard time identifying just what kind of Ideal slider that I have.  It was made in Quebec Ontario, and is Pepsi embossed.  It's got to be somewhere between a 300-500.  Can anyone tell me how I can verify this for sure?  I'm just beginning my first restoration, and I need a little advice.

Thanks,

Hey,

Thanks, for the quick reply, I'll get a pic in ASAP!  Is there anywhere that I can look for a Serial # in the meantime?

Ok,

I've managed to identify the machine as a Ideal 500B, and now the real fun begins.  It was originally yellow, but was painted over white.  Can anyone tell me the original Pepsi paint codes for this machine?  Also, was the front Pepsi "pressed-in" image a different colour?

The "embossed" lettering was painted to accent the cooler.
Check in the Soda Machines Section under Ideal... Click on the link to the "500A" and you'll notice the logo is painted red, white & blue.

My six cents,

Thanks for the reply Jim, but is that pic Red, White and Blue, or Red, White and Black?

hey Goach

I live in ontario, and I have the exact same machine as you, it was yellow with the raised pepsi lettering.  It is unrestored, so I can take pictures of anything you want.  Like yours, mine is also missing hte cap collector and change mechanism.  I still have the serial plate on it so I can check the model number hopefully.  I can also post pics.

email me if you have any direct questions, as who knows how often I will check back to this board. '<img'>
