HELP needed with V-39 drain tube

I'm trying to remove the tub but the drain tube is in the way. Am I suppose to cut and remove it completly? If so, what is the procedure for installing a new one ?

Yep,
cut it as you'll be putting in a new one when you restore it.

Yes, I just got off the phone with Funtronics and they have a copper tubing kit. So that makes it easier.
