To my understanding these are from when they went from the round top 7UP 81 to the square top style in the 60's. They were only made for a short time in 1959, and you will notice it still has the coin door and mech on the outside. Mine is embossed with a different older 7UP emblem under the red logo sticker you see. As for a Dr. Pepper transitional I don't know... Maybe someone else can tell you more. There were possibly some generic transitionals that were made. So if its a decent machine and its not embossed than you can make it whatever you want. Personally I feel the pure cane sugar Dr. Pepper is the nectar of the Gods and would love to have a Dr. Pepper machine. Again I am just going with what I have learned from here so there is probably more to know. A pic of the one your looking at would help the others tell you more...

Its a selectivend 96 conversion. It is a VERY tall and heavy machine. Due to its size they are not very popular. It was originally a single vend small bottle only that was later converted to a multi vend machine. They are not very common but still not very sought after as with other big machines. I have not had the 96 but have had the 48 model and they are even much heavier than the Vendo machines.
