in my opinion. a Vendo 83 is never a good buy.. Iv'e turned them down for free in the past as I didn't want to deal with them, and there is no market value for them..
if your new to this, it's exciting to find your first machine especially when its really cheap, but you soon come to realize why it was so cheap, compared to a multi drink vendor like an 81 , 56 or 110..
it's a rookie mistake that we have all made, so use the knowledge and advice off this board, save your money, and put it towards something you'll actually get to use like a 50's era vendo or if you cant' afford that , there are several really nice square top machines out there for 250-400 that should continue to hold and grow in value.

A free V83 is what got me started in this hobby. Parting it out did get me a few hundred by the time I was done, and I saved the embossing panels.
