For rust removal...

Does a multi-function oscillating tool work very well for removing alot of pitting
rust? Like using the sanding tool? I don't know anything about this, I just see
it advertised in Harbor Freight's sale circulars quite often and it hit me "I wonder
if this would work for sanding rust?" Your opinions appreciated.

with the right attachment.. these tools are great, but it's all in the attachement..
noting beats a good old sand blaster though.. even a portable unit works well for small projects.
