Bought a coke sled sign. What does the "am 88" at bottom of sign designate. Thanks Steve

pretty sure the AM is the sign company (or at least their initials) the company is down south, still around, just can't recall name.... and the numbers are a code for dating...like August of '58 or something similar to that...
