Pat,
sorry to here what happened to your truck. May I suggest something, a few years ago I had a similar problem, the paint was fairly fresh but dry to the touch, I tried using Turtle Wax to take the paint off and it worked. It was not easy, but the car didn't have to be repainted and it had one heck of a shine afterwords.
Just my two cents. down

Pat, that is only spray paint.....very soft compared to that factory paint you have on the truck. Go get a gallon of laquer thinner and wash it off today before it sets any longer. If necessary it can be buffed out even better later. Those punks didn't hurt anything.

Pat, that definitely sucks, not something you want to wake up to, thats for sure.

Like Glen said, that paint should rub right off with a rag and some lacquer thinner.

Hope they catch the punks, and give them what they deserve.

I'm sorry that happened to you Pat!
Once you get it all taken care of, maybe think about installing a surveillance camera to keep an eye out while you sleep.
I've seen it help catch a lot of A-holes!

Pat. That really sucks,  a few A-holes that don't have any respect for others property.  If you don't want to use lacquer thinner, try some polishing compound it won't take off the clear coat.

I wouldn't take the back route to the shop. You live in a small town,  let people know what happened,  odds are good the kids who did will brag, or someone will snitch.

That's just ridiculous what they did to your truck.  At least they caught the little punks, hopefully they'll have allot of fun in court.

Pat,

Sorry this happened but glad to hear they caught the responsible parties.  censored darn Make sure you follow-through with the prosecutors as sometimes the little darlings get off.  You are in the insurance industries and know full well what this type of crap costs everyone in increased premiums.

On a lighter note--tkaz has a great idea about the woodgrain laminate!  biggrin Cool laugh

Well truck is cleaned up and looks better than ever,  because of the dirt and salt spray  90% washed off the 10 % they had to put some elbow
grease into it .

Good news Pat!  Maybe a good sentence for those punks would be to wash and wax your cars every week for a year or two!  A little community service never hurt anyone and they would get the chance to learn that they nearly screwed over a pretty good guy.

I'm glad you didn't use laquer thinner because it's too hot and would have messed up your paint. Use reducer instead.
