I bought this bowling game as it is not too far from me. Did I buy a good one? Don't know anything about them, but saw Larry's sweet games a few weeks ago and wanted one. I know my girls will love it! Guy says it needs cleaned, but works and has sat for over 20 years in basement covered. These any good? Any help from you guys would be great.

Brian

Yea, this is a shuffle bowler. I would like a ball bowler, but can't find them and if you do, they are way too expensive!

I personally do not like the 40's/50's shuffle alleys.  I believe that one is a 1950.  I don't like the wood playfield.  Formica is a lot more durable and slippery.  It's all a matter of what you like though.  As I tell my wife,. If you like it, I love it.

I personally love the United 1960 - 1962 games.  I wouldn't have any other Uniteds.

As far as fixing them, pins are harder to come by because of the size, but it looks like they are all there.  The mechanics should be easy because it doesn't have multi players or multi games.

What problems are you having?

Have not picked it up yet. The guy just says that the connections need a good cleaning. I want a ball bowler like yours, but they are hard to come by. So this is a good starter. Looks like a nice clean original and he says it does work and has been sitting covered for 20 years!
