OK need some help , I have a client that has a Vendo 80 E ( not sure what the E stands for )  This has been on his deck  for a few years under the over hang
It does run and get cold Just needs a new cord every thing is there , The pan between the compressor and the tank felt solid   coin mech need a real good cleaning. He would like to sell it I'm not interested  he is thinking he would like to start at $1000.00  bottom $800  , I'm not sure I think he is to high any thoughts?   He has asked about me taking it to Chicago to also try and sell it  ( i would get a cut in selling it for him)

So need some input from you guys on a value

Thanks

I've always wanted one. If it were located close by I would offer Five for it, but I would have a hard time parting with eight hundred dollars in these tight times.

Disclaimer:
That's my uneducated input, for what it is worth. I am sure others here know more about the current market than I and I look forward to reading their input as it becomes available.

I think between 500-800 is a good start. That is what I would look to pay for it.

I think 800 might be hard to get even in a Chicago show situation as there are alwasys a few there in the 600 range.. I looked at one last year that I thought I needed to have.. but thankfully talked myself out of it..
Pat, if you do bring it with you, your more than welcome to put it in my booth on Friday.. as without a booth space, it's hard to sell stuff..

Hi Pat,

I have been watching V-80's for a long time...since I am restoring mine and constantly looking for parts.....I have not seen anyone get $1000 (although a number have asked for well over that - one on E-Bay for $6800 - I will keep my thoughts quiet.

$500-600 seems reasonable for a fully-functional unit that requires some work based (including paint) on what I have seen.

I'm not much of a "single flavor" machine guy, but I do like the V80 as opposed to a V39 or Cavalier C51, especially if it has the late model stainless-steel trim.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Single flavor certainly has its limitations.....but mine has been in my family since the early 60's (was my Dad's) - so it has sentimental value and I know the history...at some point I hope to expand the stable.

I just feel good finding the parts - bottle rack assy (found), coin box (found), cap box(still searching) and sold out level (still searching) - basically I now have a fully-functional V-80. I had it professionally stripped and pained 20 years ago...but it has never seen the outside since it was actually used by Coke (or distributor).

Feels good to bring it back to life.

Item number:   260672622538

As a comparison, here is a V-80 on EBAY for $995 (not the one listed for $6800  tounge).....it has been painted on the outside - nothing done to the inside....if you enlarge the pics of the front, it appears that they really did not do any work....and the paint job is not nearly as nice as most do work and who post on this site.....again,,,overpriced....but you never know..
