That sucks John! Sorry for your loss! I have a 12 year old Dalmation named Smokey. I am not looking forward to the day he goes or we have to put him down. They are part of the family!

Hi John.
Losing one of our four-legged family members is always a heart breaker.  We recently lost our own dog of the same age.  As a small animal veterinarian, I face this on an almost daily basis.  It always hurts but at the end of their life we have to show them as much love as we did during the preceding years.  And when the time is right, or when it is most unexpected, another will jump into your heart and life.   You will always cherish the memories.  Take care, Bob  (we had some contact regarding a stoner candy machine some months ago)

So sorry to hear that Bro. Man, had to do the same some time ago to my black lab. 16 yrs old. Had her on steroids for hips for 4 yrs. Well worth the money. They are just the same as kids if you ask me.  Being self employed, my chocolate lab spends every day with me and my customers just love him and take many pictures of him working with me.
What's worse is when you have children as well growing with the dog as they consider it as a sibling as well. Shame there Buddy. Time heals.
Again, so sorry John. It hurts

Sorry for your loss John! I guess you will need to employ one of the kids now as QC manager in the shop!

Saddened by your loss...
I had to put my LizBeth to sleep after 14 yrs; that was 7 yrs ago and I haven't replaced her... Although, I must say that time has healed my heart.
I'm sure he'll be greatly missed but never forgotten ! ! !

John, Sorry for your lost ... I had a Lab, they are great dogs!
The great thing about dogs is they don't judge you like people do... they just accept you!

John,

That is certainly a difficult time in the life of a pet owner.  A good loyal dog is a great friend and part of the family.  It is very tough to lose them.  Thoughts are with you.

Sorry to hear about the pooch.   down

It's always tough on the kids.  That's probably why so many dogs mysteriously run away, like mine did when I was a kid.
