Hello, I am supposed to write a paper about Pepsi and Coca Cola for one of my classes. I think I was the only one in class that was excited to do this project! lol  laugh

Well, I figured this forum would be the best place to ask. I am not asking for you to do my homework in any way, but I would like to put in some cool facts about the two companies into my paper to make it more interesting. It is supposed to be about how the companies were started, and how they came about to be the large companies that they are today..

Like I heard that coca cola was originally green, is that true?

Thanks for any replies!  smile

There is a DVD available on line called "The history of the Coca Cola Company" or something like that.
You will get all the information you need from it.

Cool Fact...
Did you know Coke had a chance to purchase Pepsi back in the 30's
when Pepsi was in or near bankrupcy? They passed.
Wonder what we would have if the deal went thru.

Yes. Coke was originally green. It was also promoted as "cure-all"  with emphasis of relieving Fatigue.....Nothing like a sugar rush!!!

Try Cocaine...that is what Coca Cola originally had in it or at least some portion of the Coca plant...hence the name Coca Cola!
Additionally Dr. Pepper originally had an amphetamine (speed) in it!

When the drugs became illegal, they modified the recipe.
