Those Who Stay Will be Champions!

« on: August 11, 2010, 08:57:32 pm »

Well the weather forecast for Detroit for Friday, Saturday and Sunday is 90, 90 and 88 with a slight chance of thunderstorms on Saturday.  I guess it would not be time for the Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk if it wasn't hotter and muggier than H-E-double hockey sticks!  My son and I got the finishing touches put on our hair tonight so we are ready to go.  We were fortunate to raise close to $13,000 this year for the fight against breast cancer. happydrinkers

Wish us well and if you are in the Detroit area, we would love to see you at the cheering stations.  Here is a link to the spectator information:

The cheering station in downtown Plymouth is unbelieveable!!!

Here is a picture and pray for no rain!

Awesome.  Just wanted to say good luck with the walk and THANK YOU.  My wife has participated in this walk three times.  My sister passed from breast cancer four years ago but she also got a chance to do the walk herself.  It is very emotional and moving experience.  Thanks again.

We will be walking in just about 7 hours.  Thanks for the kind thoughts and words guys!  I will be keeping an eye out for garage sales--who knows maybe I will find a Vendo DeCapper for $25.00 along the way!  But then again, that might be a hallucination brought on by the heat and humidity because we all know that those go for five to six thousand on E-Bay! biggrin Cool laugh

I will post some pictures when I get back home!  Again--if any of the MI Mafia can make it to the cheering stations, I would love to see you standing there with an ice cold diet Coke for me! happydrinkers
