That thing is no where near cool as a Victor Bar. Its square, unattractive, ugly etc. If I owned it I would cut out the embossed letters, cut the compressor and copper out of it, remove the stainless and head into town.

Yes really I work at the Dixie Narco facility in Williston SC. Not sure if public tours are allowed but if anyone is in the area let me know and I can check into it. This is just one of the machines we manufacture (Jim if this isn't allowed sorry and please remove).

Well, I have to insist that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'd love to have that little 2 door Narco. I'd clean it up, repaint the script and drink lots of cold cokes out of it. Not all of us can have the really neat rounded corner ones, especially with the prices being charged for them. I'm not saying they aren't worth it, I'm just saying that I can't afford one and will probably never be able to no matter how badly I want one. Therefore I have to be happy with what I can get. I'm sure lots of people would turn their noses up at my little Selectivend 1-A being as it's a square corner machine, but I like it, it'll fit right in my kitchen and I'll enjoy the heck out of it plus I only paid $25.00 for it in the first place. You wanna know what I think's ugly? Those little chest type coolers that are all covered with woodgrain contact paper and have the sign in back that the lid leans against, thise I think are ugly. Does that mean I wouldn't take one, no. I'll tellya if that little 2 door was only $100.00 instead of $200.00 I'd get it this week.

That BevMax3 is a cool machine. Every time that I have gotten something out of one the mechanism that moves the cup around to catch the bottle and deliver it to the vend door fascinates me. Do they require a lot of maintenance? I have seen that machine in a lot of bowling centers. Tim And for the record, I would grab that Narco at that price. I do like the lines of the Victor better but you are talking about two different eras of machines.

At first, I also thought that Narco looked too modern but with fresh paint, a nice countertop added and 4 barstools, it should make a useful piece of equipment. (Also a great way to keep the teenagers at home).
Steve.....at $100.00 you should go for it! Fix it up inexpensively and use it daily. In a few years, hopefully you will sell it for at least what you have invested.
