I got a message from the guy in Atlanta.. he still has the parts and I think he is willing to ship. I've got to give him a call to set it up..

Well, got my parts and made this bike run... Pretty cool little toy. Ran great the first day out... Kids wanted to ride again and now I've got clutch problems.. The clutch will not disengage no matter how I adjust the cable... I've never messed with a clutch setup on a motorcycle.. I've been reading about the adjustment on the basket.. I guess thats the only way to adjust the clutch?

Cool that you got it running, sucks about the clutch. My bike is in pieces. replacing brake pads in the back wheel. I don't much about clutches on them but I visit a website called Thumpertalk.com that seems to have a few people that know what there talking about and might be able to help. I don't know if there is a clutch kit you can get or anything like that. good luck.

I got the clutch somewhat straightened out tonight. I jumped right in and started taking stuff apart.. I learned how to adjust and now understand a bit on how it works.. I've still got a running problem to work through.. I think I have a band trans seal as its burning too much oil.. So far, this free bike has only cost about $100 so far.. not bad...

My restored 79 Honda CR250R "Red Rocket" Elsinore. Bike has frame, motor, etc. powdercoated. The front suspension is 83 CR480 43mm forks w/ custom made billet triple clamps and one piece bar clamps. The rear suspension is Original FOX air shocks with aluminum swingarm and FOX billet motor mounts. I had the number plates printed to look like old skool electrical tape numbers. Neither of these bikes have been fired up since restoring. I have approx. 30 vintage bikes in my collection. I collect, restore and race them on the vintage MX national circuits.

Terry... those are beautiful... Very cool. Do you have them all displayed, or put away?
