Possibly heading to Dallas from STL - is there anything soda related that is interesting in the Dallas area to check out?

If you travel a bit farther southwest to Dublin, you can see the old Dr. Pepper bottling plant where they make the Imperial Sugar Dr. Pepper.  There is also a smaller museum there.  Down south in Waco is the main Dr. Pepper museum.

Thanks Greg - Looks like I may be going down that way to Waco for my other passion.  Sprint car racing on a dirt track.  Heart 'O Texas Speedway.

Sounds like a great time!  Wish I was a bit closer...I'd meet you and get that U Select It.

Let me know how the museum is...we haven't made it up there yet with time to go through it.

Oh yeah...I forgot about the u select machine.  That would have been fun to hook up for it.   I am a little leery of leaving my kid and his friend in Dallas while I head to Waco for a while just in case they might need something....but I guess you have to let them grow up sometime.  How far are you from Waco?

I'm about 5 to 5 1/2 hours to Waco, depending on traffic.  If I was in San Antonio at the same time, it wouldn't be so bad at about 2 hours away.  Just depends on when you will be down this way.

I know what you mean about leaving the kids!  Mine are still young, but we have been letting the oldest do more...gotta grow up, like you said!

Looking like we are leaving this Wednesday night after my kid's friend gets off at work and drive about 1/2 way down and grab some zzzz's in a rest stop or something then work our way on down Thursday morning.  Then I might go to that race in Waco on Friday night.  Then we are headed back to STL first thing on Saturday morning.  Long way for a short trip (time-wise), but it gets me outta of here for a while.
