Well I got $305.00 for it.  And truth be told I would take 305.00 for it.

Oddly enough there is a Vendo 56 on ebay with a buy it now at a $1000.  Why is that one worth so much???

Well....It's an original condition machine, the Dr Pepper lightup
makes it rather attractive, & a nice alternative to "Coke" machines, granted it's a little garish with the extra decals on the front, like a old car's people love to see a custom, chopped, Tubed fat whelled hot rodded 57' Chevy, but will usally wanting to but an original car instead. it's just a matter of personel taste. in the long haul the original machine will hold its value better than the customized one.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p

"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Ok I relisted it.  With a lower reserve. In fact, no reserve.  But, I did add a buy it now.

Also is there a way for me to get rid of the first picture I uploaded?  THe very low quality one?

Check it out

Jeff convinced me I had to buy it, so I did. Here's why.
I own an auto related buisness and did soda machines as a hobby. When I got a retail location I started selling out of the showroom.  I usally keep a few restored sliders, 33's and Vendo 81's.
When a customer walks in for the first time, they always make a bee-line for the 81. They love it, but are shocked at the price.
I tell them I have another machine that works exactly the same way, drop in a coin and choose your soda from behind the glass door. And--- instead of $6000.00 it's $600.  You should see their eyes pop open !   "Really, is it here?" they ask. Yes.
"Wow can we see it?"  Sure!
I point accross the room to a square corner machine and their faces drop. Sticker shock resolved.     '<img'>        Glen

Congrats You will love the machine.  I just looked up the Vendo 81. Now thats a sweet machine.

When you get a chance let me know how we are shipping this to Sunny CA from Snowy Buffalo.

Thanks again

Jeff shipped this machine from Buffalo on Thursday, I picked it up Monday in Los Angeles, Forward Air. Fast shipping.
Since it was shipped terminal to terminal, rather than door to door the freight will be about $100.00, not bad.
The paint job on the exterior was awesome. I say "was" because when I asked my sign-maker for suggestions on designing the graphics, he became obsessed and bought it.
His shop is next to mine, and makes neon as well. He plans to relace the blank sign with neon , add custom decals and pinstriping.  I will post a picture when he's done.
Special thanx to Jeff and the rest of this group!   Glen

The above post was in conclusion to a previous discussion, I don't know what happened to the rest of it.

And Glen,

When a discussion get too many replies, it will span over into additional pages... If you look at the top on the opposite side of the "Add Reply, New Topic & New Poll" Button you will see Pages: < 1  2 >.  This allows you to follow the complete topic...

Hopefully helpful...

What is the most valuable coke machine fully restored?  Just curious.
