Question on 81a

I have another question on the 81a. From what I have read, there was not a chrome piece, that separates the white & red paint towards the top. Should I put one there?I have a 81 Pepsi, it has the chrome, thought it might look neat, so they match. Thanks you guys have been a great help. Mike

         The chrome strip looks fine if you are doing the 81a in 2 tone.

The 81A was solid red form the factory , so there wasn't chrome since there wasn't two tone separation.  Moondawg speaks rightly, add the chrome trim if you are going two tone

Yeah,
Two tone, Chrome it... a few options are available out there.. you can buy some Original Chrome off of a B or D unit or get some made, or buy the Plastic with 3m Adhesive on it,, sticks and holds real good when put on correctly.
