I got my V-81 stack back from the paint shop the other day and now two of the bottle gates won’t snap back into the locked position after pulling the gate forward as if it were vending a bottle.  I have to push the gate back by hand.

Any ideas on what the likely cause is?  The bottle gate springs look like they are ok and I'm wondering if there is another place that needs to be cleaned or lubed?

Thanks

most likely you have something rubbing on something else, hard to diagnose without seeing it, but maybe on of the bottle gate "arms" is bent and rubbing? that is usually the problem if your springs are all in place and working...

if they sand blast the face of the stack, or even heavy disk sanding can contaminate the links (slidering metal plates) track with grit.

Brian, I had the same issue with my 110  darn. There are a few things you need to make sure of. First, the screws in red cannot be too tight. Second the spring in Blue may need to be shortened so it forces the Gates back. And third play with where the spring circled in purple is placed on the outside plate. I had to make sure my screws were loose, and I had to cut my spring in blue to make it tighter, that worked great for me. Now even my 110 gate works every time happydrinkers. Make sure you mess with it out of the machine, and upright. Mine worked fine laying down, but then didn't for some reason upright. That should help.
