Vendo 39 Tweaked Drum

I have a Vendo 39 drum that is tweaked a bit and only fits the fingers for about a 1/4 of a turn. Thought about buying a reproduction sense they can vend 12oz. bottles. Anyone know if the repo drums are any good? If I listed my drum on ebay (its an original drum) what would be the ball park to get for it? I'm sure someone can fix it I just want to vend 12oz. bottles.

Has the drum been dropped and can you see the deformity in shape?
Off the top of my head, I'm not sure if the repro drums can vend 12oz bottles...

There are repop drums out there that can vend 12 oz. bottles.  Those guys in Nebraska used to sell one.  I inquired about buying one a while back and they were out of them at the time.  They put me on a waiting list but I have never heard back from them.

Post a picture of your drum. Have you tried tweaking it back into shape?

You cant see the bend in it in a pic but its tweaked where it slides on the shaft so when it spins on the shaft it doesn't catch the fingers the whole revolution. The three sections where the bottles slide on have a few bends but seam to be ok. I think I'm just going to get a repo because vending 12oz bottles would be nice. I'm gonna list mine on ebay any idea of what I can expect to get for it?

With it bent I doubt it will bring much. If I were you I would try to fix it before you sell it. Then it will bring a few hundred but most people would hesitate buying a drum that doesn't work. I know I wouldn't blindly buy a bent drum. It could take a lot to get it working.

Yea I guess I'll spend some time with it and see what I can do. If only the idiot who owned my machine before me would have left it in the machine.

Can you have a bushing machined to correct the drum?

If you can get the drum corrected, which doesn't sound too difficult, the price would be much more! You could also look for an original drum that has the holes stamped into the back plate to accommodate larger/longer bottles. These drums are usually in the late model V-39s.
