Very interesting.It is actually called a jointer,,,,,but not the kind you smoke,,,,,unless it has dull blades.  Although I'd guess that they were smokin' something when they came up with that idea!

The jointer was probably the machine in wood shop that scared me the most!  Anything that sounds like a mini tree grinder has got to be dangerous.
