What should i try before deciding my compressor is junk.... It is for a Westinghouse wd-10 and the only thing i have tried is twisting the compressor adjustment screw and nothing changes... still no cold. Tips please. how do i identify the problem.
Evap fan and condenser fan both run.

If the compressor runs and it does not cool, chances are great that it is out of freon.  Bear in mind that just adding freon will not solve the problem, the old freon has leaked out and you need someone with a leak tester to find the hole and close it, then you will be able to add freon. That's the simple explanation, but there are a bunch of other variables that could have an effect on the successful operation of the compressor.
