I am interested in finding a coke wire "empties" bottle rack to put beside my machine.  Does anyone have one or can someone point me in the right direction?  Also, I would like to know if there is an authoritative  book that lists the manufacturer and models of Coke machines?  Where can I get such a book?

Bob,

A good guide to machines and their rarity is "Classic Soda Machines" by Jeff Walters.  I think the 3rd edition is the most recent and even that was printed in 1999 so the prices are not always in touch with the current market.  It is available on E-Bay and Amazon--think I got my from Amazon.  I just checked and Walters' book is also available at the SMC .com Vending Shop on this site.  Other than Walters' book, I find the Soda Machine library on this site to be a fantastic resource for identifying machines.

I have seen the racks come up on E-Bay from time to time.  Would like to get one for my machine as well but I would have a hard time drilling holes in the side of a perfectly good machine to mount it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info.  I did see one of the books on E-bay.  As for the rack, I am looking for a free standing one that sits beside the machine.  Like you, I do not want to drill holes in my restored machine.  Thanks again.

There are a few of the free standing ones on E-Bay right now that I noticed when I was searching machine last night.  I have no idea what a fair price is for something like that and I expect that the shipping would be high.  I see them every now and then in antiques malls as well.  That might be a good place to start.

If Leonard's doesn't pan out, you may want to look for a Pepsi one.  Much cheaper (that's what I ended up getting)!

Leonard,

Falling asleep in the chair is a favorite pastime of mine. laugh laugh  I understand completely! Thanks for the pics.  How much for the rack?  (You can PM me if you like) It looks rather large.  (Dimensions?) What I was actually looking for something a bit smaller.  Also, I would be interested in a rack that holds the crates.  Would you happen to have one of those sitting around?

Royal Crown Cola 6-pack holder. Seems wide enough just to hold two 6-packs per shelf. Has one re-positionable wire shelf. Don't know if it had more than one or not. Sign at top is double sided and has same design on both sides. The gunk on the sign prolly will clean up with goo-gone. PM me if interested.
