Well guess it was meant to be... This was at Chicago in the fall and I wanted it but not $750 wanted it.
Well it came up at auction near Springfield, IL... So I drove up Saturday and won the bid....
It's 32 inches wide... not the 47 inches like the book says... I think the book is in error...
Anyway good and solid... will need to trace all the decals so I can paint and put back just as it was.
ok.. gonna try and post.... if this fails I might need someone to post a better pic...

Eric,

Nice acquisition ! ! !
I wouldn't mind acquiring a good photo or two pictured slightly off to one side at just the same height as the current photo.
Does it have an ID tag...?

Ha!.. Can't take the bottles back took too long to find those.... all are mint to near bottles from shows and road trips.
Gonna stay original when I restore it.. I'm one of those. Though I might use a off white so it's not so
generic looking... Paid less than the $750 though not by much - stupid buyers premium and IL tax glare

They had a Cav 51 and a nice Orange Crush ceramic dispenser... though I didn't stay for those... no money left... also had a pair of those Hula Girl lamps that “dance” from the early '40s I would have loved to have had too... but again funds were gone so my brother and I hit every junk and antique store on the way home...
good road trip.

Nice find!!! Are they embossed as well?

The cooler or the Hula Lamps! Ha
The cooler has the Double-Dot embossing on the front only... the rest is decals(?)
or screened painted on... it has the logo on the top, inside lid, sides and back. Sides also have
a “BIGGER and BETTER with a 5 cent in a large circle. Nice unique little cooler...

I like the white Eric. I did my gullwing blue and that was 15 yrs ago or so. Might restore back to original white.
Even a cream would look good.

What's inside? wire shelves or open?

Again. Great find!! Congrats

In the book they say it's a Heintz.. it doesn't any tags... just a Pepsi Cola tag with a serial number from New York.
Yeah I did the same thing when I saw it online... I checked it against the picture I took... same one.
got lucky... now I need a Quikold junior in Pepsi! hopefull

Hi Eric
Can you post a picture of the top of the chest? It looks like one I sold to a friend in IL a couple of years ago. Hope to see you and Tonya at the show.

Thanks... I really wanted this cooler when I saw it in Chicago... got lucky that it came around again...
Tom I'll take a picture of the top and post later... Where did you get the one you had? This has a New York tag on it....trying to learn how to post these images bigger so you can actually see them...
Here is the Pepsi 33 I bought and haven't posted....got it in November from Sedalia, MO... before the show in Chicago so once again I walked around with the guys to help them spend their money since I had already spent mine.... good clean machine

Now lets see if this Pepsi 33 image loads....

Very nice 33.  That and the VMC72 are my favorite looking machines.  I saw a Pepsi 33 in a store window for sale back in 1984 and one at the Chicagoland show a year or two ago, both were cheap but my wallet was cheaper.  One day!!  Both an 81 and a Pepsi 33, will be mine. smile
