I bought a vendo 81 from them like 6 years ago, Drove from Minneapolis to the Iowa,MN/WI border and picked it up from them. I had a burger with them at some small joint in the town we met in and they told me they had just shot a pilot for this show idea they had and where trying to get someone to pick it up.. we'll 6 years later... there they are.. I watch the show, but just like most , alot of scripted stuff, but still neat to see some of these peoples collections... did you see the one tonight this strange little man had an underground tunnel system and collected the weirdest stuff..

Watched the show last night. They were digginf in this guy's barn and only had an hour to pick through it. They came out with (2) fortune/coin-op scales and a rataan chair. The funny thing, right in front of one of the scales, obscured by some cardboard was what appeared to be a Stoner 180 minus the mirror! As far as the shoot for that scene went he didn't even flinch or make make mention of it.
It's interesting what people "key" on. They bought an old national ciggy machine a few episodes ago but not a Stoner....

This show on the history channel? I subscribed to this channel for Pawn Stars and Pickers but haven't seen pickers yet? Can't find it. Maybe it's just on the American History

I can't see the show lasting too long...those two really aren't very interesting people. Some of the stuff they come across is cool.
That was a weird place that strange little man had with all the underground rooms packed full of junk. The dude looked like Marty Feldman!
I thought the coin op hotel fan was kind of cool that they got out of that museum place.

I watch it for entertainment. The 1st episode I noticed them talking about going to a place for a great possible find. But the major item they found was already in the van with them. It was a small motorcycle. Just shows you that like everything else on TV it is scripted.
I often have wondered how much of the "great stuff" brought into the Pawn Stars store is scripted. The guys seem to know a whole lot of info about some real obscure stuff sometimes.

I wonder as well.....Still, it's more entertaining to me than a bunch of ladies pawing over a guy trying to win his "true love"
