Just sourced a coin mech very cheap for the V63, (10 bucks), but in the theme of "you get what you pay for", the 25c crem is not energzied at rest... the 5 and 10c one works fine... the slug rejector needs a good cleaning, but works ok for now, and I've got it set to vend for a dime.. any suggestions on what to do with the 25c coin return electro-magnet?
Thanks,
Chris

...any suggestions on what to do with the 25c coin return electro-magnet? Just disconnect the armature from the magnet. The mech will still vend and give change - only thing is it will always take quarters whether the machine and/or payout tube are empty.

I guess that would defeat the purpose... I need to stop the finger from blocking the quarter path in the rejector, I suppose?

JohnnieG probably knows off the top of his head, but I'll take a look at mine. Most armatures are simply snapped on with a spring attached as I recall. You should be able to remove the armature and leave the CREM wired, but I'll dig mine out and let you know for sure.

Just checked my Coinco. My quarter CREM is at the top on the right as you face the mech. Push up on the spring steel clip on top of the CREM - press down on the armature and the back of it will lift right off and slide down under the tabs..

You can also just "nip" off the "fingers" from the CREM'S arm, this avoids the need to remove any wires, ( and as you've found out, you can also remove the whole armature assembly.) for most home/hobby uses, the CREMS are not required.
