I have noticed periodically some interest on this site in vintage cars.  This link will take you to a collection of neat old vintage photos of Ford dealerships.  Enjoy.  Bob

Pretty Cool!
Didn't realize so many dealerships were associated with gas companies and had service stations up front.
Saw a Stoner Junior (I think) up front of one and lots of cool Ford signs.

Some cool pictures in there.  Did not see Palmer Ford in Chelsea, MI- -up until this past year Michigan's oldest Ford dealer.   down Sadly they closed their doors this past summer after selling Ford products since 1911.  Another casualty of the downturn of the American Auto industry.  The guys at Palmer were straight shooters and some of the most honest sales and service guys in the business.  Thankfully, the service department is still open - - just unfortunate to lose such an important part of the community.

I hate dealing with car salesmen - buying a car has to be one of my least favorite things to do. Maybe that is why I have owned 2 cars since 1986.

Tom

I'm definately with you there...

Car salesmen are up there with Solicitors and Real Estate Agents...

Best art of this reccesion is seeing all those estate agents having to sell their fancy cars...
