Donut machine?

I was wondering if they ever made a donut machine like what is in the book Homer Price. I used to love that machine in that book when I was younger and was wondering if anything besides the one at Krispy Kreme ever existed.

Don't know about the one in the book. There was a booth at the local Pumkin festival that had 3 units cranking out pumkin donuts. They were cool. Conveyor belt type device. Batter in one end donuts out the other. If I wasn't already too fat I'd be chasing one down.

That sounds really cool! I do remember I did see some movie that we got from the library where they took different chapters from the book and made a movie for each and they had the donut machine in it and it was working. Not sure if that is something they wipped up for the movie or if it was an actuall machine.

It is the exact same one that was in the video. Anyone know who made it or have any info on it? I would really like to see how it worked.

I seen one a festival ....it was called the orbirtor i think . I bought some and man were they greasy!! I look the machine up and it was expensive.

Can't recall who made the machines I saw. Donuts were top notch though.

I actually saw some 1978 donut vending machines for sale the other day.  They were NOS in the box.  Vend 2 donuts at a time!
