Wonder if they swapped out the compressor at 1 time by the looks of the compressor panel on the side. I myself have not seen a panel like that before

That's an Ideal 70. My guess is that they used the same compressor unit as the 85 model and made that cover to conceal it. You can just slide the whole unit out as one piece.BTW if anyone here has a cover I'd be interested in buying it.

I would never pay $1k for any freaking slider....let alone a  70 or 85 , even if it is a Pepsi "double-dot", my old quote applies here, "Bigger isn't better" generally when it comes to soda machines, ( There are exceptions for extremely rare machines, like say a Vendo De-capper, etc)  I swear that crack must be as cheap a chewing gum lately on Ebay.  tounge   I've even seen a beat-up Vendo V63 on the Detroit area's Craigs list, with an asking price of $1250.00...yikes!  oh

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...

Ideal 70?  That's one we don't have in the machine listing...may be worth adding?

Agreed...price is way too high!

Seller claims that GE cooler is a "very easy restoration".  biggrin

Maybe HE should try it! Don't think there is anything harder to paint than all those embossed logos.

Yep It's a G.E. wet-chest, missing it's compressor, front grill, cap-catcher, & who knows what Else, & like you said, it's probably the most embossed chest cooler ever made. maybe $100.00
