Glass door machines

I have a question about the glass door bottle machines. I am younger and have never seen one of these machines in operation so I was wondering how do they work? Also something I was wondering about is what happens if you try to take 2 bottles instead of one? Sorry about asking a question like this but I am curious to know.

You cannot take two bottles - the bottle stack is designed so that only one gate will open at a time. Once the gate has been fully extended and selection removed, the stack locks until the next vend (unless parts have been removed setting it on free vend).
