Since the Year is winding down, it's kind of fun to recap what some of the best deals, finds or purchases of 2009 where?
I know there where some really good deals , so let's recap?

Me, overall, lots of great machines, pumps and candy vendors, I bet my Best deal was a Stoner Jr for 150.00  and an 81 for $500
Cant' really nail down what purchase was my favorite, so Just will have to say Happy with everything I Got!

Who else wants to share?

For me - I toned down my purchasing somewhat, but I really like the Tome Mexican counter cooler I got for $75. Then there was my large mech purchase, which wasn't a smoking deal but happy with all I got.

My $10 Vendo 110.

I also got my Vendo 56 can machine finished up.  That's a soap opera story.  A guy promised to paint it in 2005 and it took me until 2009 to get it back from him - unpainted.  I was getting ready to call the cops (seriously).  He works at the same place I do, so I knew where to find him.  Trust me, there were some serious arguments over this one.  What a "Richard Cranium."

Mine had to be two weeks ago my old insurance agent was in my office and said his uncle had an old soda machine, and wanted to know if I was interested. I said sure, and was expecting some square top machine, or rusted out chest cooler. Then a week later he shows up at my house with an (Embossed) Coca-Cola Ideal 55 slider. Not only was it free, but he delivered to my house.

I would have to toss a coin to decide my favorite but my two best finds of 2009 would have to be:

1.  Complete Canada Dry VMC 110

2.  Early Stoner Theatre

Got great deals on both!  I haven't sealed the deal on the shuffleboard table yet so that may be one of my favorite finds of 2010.  Of course, the year is not over yet! biggrin

Pretty new to the buying aspect of it all late in the year, but I would say $50 for my little square top 56 thats complete and working fine was a nice find.

My $100. Glasco countertop fountain dispenser with the light-up stylestar logo.
Second place is my FREE Glasco slider (even tho it has some rough spots).

That ten dollar hooker, oh wait, that's another story.

I would have to say the Vendo Ice cream machine was my best catch for I believe $600.00??  I also got a free one that I parted out and made $250.00.  So roughly, it ended up costing me $350.00.

My three pull cigaromat for $750.00, already painted.

A Stoner coffee machine, with the optional changer, for around $800.00??

But my favorite has to be the Acme Roulette for a staggering $3,000.00.  That has to be the ultimate gambling device ever made.  A 1960 prototype, one of sixty in existence.

But my favorite has to be the Acme Roulette...

Didn't Wile E. Coyote use Acme products to catch the Roadrunner? Same company?

What does it look like?

Wile E Coyote had to go to rehab after he found out about this Acme product.

Here is the Acme Roulette.  A free spinning quarter roulette machine, from 1960 or 1961, that takes multiple bets and multiple coins.  After you play all your quarters, you hit the red flashing button, and a ball shoots out and rolls around until it finally loses monentum and falls into one of the 38 holes.  The payout follows.  The roulette wheel constanly spins in the opposite direction of the balls direction.

One coin per each individual number.  Payout is 36 to 1.

one to forty-five coins for each 3:1 or 2:1 bet.

3:1's are columns or blocks.

2:1's are a block of 1-18 or 19-36.  Black or red, or odd's or even's.

0 and 00 can only be played as an individual number.  There are no 2:1 or 3:1 combinations for the green zeros.

This is the first machine to incorporate a hopper payout.

I think I recall seeing one of the Acme Roulette machines in a small TX town off I-20. It was down in a basement area with a bunch of other stuff - probably still there, but it was 6+ years ago. May have to check it out this coming summer when I go back to visit family.

Well, I thought I had bought a couple of real nice machines at a antique show the other day for $50 each...made the guy a deal for $100 to take both of them from him.  I had to move fast because I spotted a couple of known collectors in the same area of where these were.

The machines were a really cool counter top coin-op nut machine perfect shape - never seen one like it before and the other was a small old round tub style coke machine - not sure of the model number it was.

Those collectors found out what I had got them for and they were pretty furious that they didn't move in quicker.  They were awesome machines.

And then I woke up.....it was a dream I had last night!  What a disappointment!   Thought I had scored a great find.   I have to quit reading these posts before I go to bed!!   oh
